A driver’s spotter mirror is standard on all models, and both the cargo and wagon versions can be ordered with a rear-view camera or 255-degree-opening rear doors. The wagon receives standard fog lamps, body-coloured mirrors and handles and a chrome grille, and a new XLT Premium trim on the passenger wagon adds swing-out windows, a total of four stereo speakers, and a nicer-trimmed interior. The cargo van, which previously had a carpeted front area, is now easy-clean vinyl throughout. The Transit Connect comes as a two-seat cargo van or five-passenger wagon. It uses a 2.0-litre Duratec four-cylinder engine with four-speed automatic transmission. Features on the base Cargo 110 A van include 15-inch steel wheels, air conditioning, dual sliding cargo doors with no glass, dual rear cargo doors with no glass, six-way driver and four-way passenger manual seat adjustment, driver’s armrest, full width overhead storage shelf, CD stereo with auxiliary input, cruise control, full-length cloth headliner, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, power locks with keyless entry, power front windows, vinyl flooring, and tire pressure monitoring system. The Cargo 210A van adds dual rear cargo doors with glass, rear defroster, rear wipers and heated power mirrors. The XLT Wagon adds second-row 60/40 flip-and-fold split bench seat, sliding doors with privacy glass, carpeted front area, rear vinyl floor, engine block heater, reverse parking aid, and electronic stability control. The XLT Premium adds swing-out rear windows, two extra speakers, rear wheelhouse cover and upper pillar trim.
